Gray Tree Frog – Cope’s Gray Education In Nature

Once again my wife finds something neat. This little fellow looks to be a gray tree frog, probably a Cope’s gray tree frog.

The gray tree frog and the Cope’s gray frog are very hard to tell apart. I read that one of the only ways to tell the difference is by the sound they make. This little guy refused to talk, so I’m not sure.

The camouflage is amazing. The dark gray pattern doesn’t make a lot of sense, until you see one on an oak tree. These frogs can even change colors.
